Transport for individuals with mobility needs in Bexley.

BATS operate an individual transport scheme to cater for people with severe mobility problems that prevent them from using public transport.

The individual transport service can be booked to cover journeys such as cross borough trips and out of borough shopping journeys, longer distances, airport runs and local holiday transport.

Enquiries and bookings can be made through the BATS office between 9:30AM and 2:30 PM Monday to Friday. All bookings are treated on a first come first served basis; we make no guarantee of availability. A minimum of 24 hours notice must be given if you wish to cancel your booking. A £6.00 cancellation fee may apply if sufficient notice is not given.   

You must become a member of BATS to use the service; Individual membership costs £15.00 annually and is available to disabled people, those with severe mobility problems and blind or partially sighted people. Acceptance of membership is at the discretion of the BATS trustee board.

The mileage rate is £1.50 per mile with a minimum charge of £6.00

The service can also be used by Capital Call members. Capital Call is a complimentary service available to registered Taxicard users to provide subsidised transport for people with mobility problems. Eligible people include those receiving the Higher Rate mobility component of the disability living allowance, Higher Rate Attendance Allowance, are registered blind, in receipt of a War Pension Mobility Disability Living Allowance Supplement or individuals with an endorsement from their doctor.
